Nexus Design LLC is Hiring an Office Manager Near Oxford, CT

Nexus Design is a full-service product design and development firm located in Oxford, CT.

We are currently looking to add an Office Manager / Bookkeeper to our team. This position requires that you have the ability to multi-task while staying positive and organized. Nexus is a friendly and creative work environment - we are waiting to meet you!

To excel at this opportunity, you will have strong administrative skills, an acute attention to detail, be a team player but also show initiative towards working independently. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic to learn about the unique aspects of working in a product design firm.

Required skills and responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping tasks including:
  • Invoicing clients for delivered goods and services.
  • Communicating regularly with client representatives responsible for paying invoices.
  • Drafting and issuing purchase orders.
  • Generating monthly financial status reports.
  • Setting up and managing project budget information in company time reporting software.
  • Coordinating timely payment of bills
  • Use appropriate record keeping methods and tools, including QuickBooks or Sage 50 software to record all incoming and outgoing payments, goods, etc.
  • Organizing quarterly and yearly financial data with contract accounting team.
  • Coordinate activities related to office facilities management including:
  • Communicating with the property management team on matters of leasing, building maintenance, etc.
  • Coordinating the ordering and stocking of regular consumable office and shop supplies.
  • Coordinate activities related to an office cleaning service.
  • Coordinating company events and travel activities.
  • Organizing shipping and receiving activities.
  • Manage front desk activities, including answering phones, greeting visitors, etc.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word and related software as part of fulfilling the above responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
